Rexford Davis has been named the 2012 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year.
Davis (6-1, 185) was 5-2 with an ERA of 4.00 in 45 innings. The rookie started eight games allowing 38 hits, 24 runs, 20 earned runs and striking out 24 batters. The Evans, Georgia native earned MEAC Pitcher of the Week honors once this season.
McGowin (6-5, 175) had a 2.85 earned run average and posted a 6-4 win-loss record. In 91.2 innings pitched, the Sag Harbor, New York native had 88 strikeouts, allowed 29 earned runs while giving up 83 hits and just 12 walks.
Green (6-0, 180)started all 45 games and led SSU with a .339 batting average. In 127 at bats, the Pooler, Georgia native had 43 hits, scored 30 times and drove in 16 runs. Green led the team with 16 steals in 22 attempts.
