Track and Field Competes on Day Two of the Florida Relays

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Savannah State University men's track and field teams competed on the second day of the Florida Relays.
 
On the men's track team, senior Morgan Ellis-Foster finished 18th in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 53.29, while sophomore Abbas Abbkar finished 37th in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:51.29 and junior Nigel Brown finished 48th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 49.85. 
 
On the men's field team, senior Malik Franklin finished sixth in the long jump with a distance of 7.28 meters (23-10.75), while junior LaRon James finished seventh with a jump of 7.21 meters (23-8).
 
The final day of the Florida Relays finishes Saturday.
