LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Savannah State University men's track and field team finishes the season at the East Preliminary round Friday at the National Collegiate Athletic Association Outdoor Track and Field Championship.
 
Sophomore Nigel Brown finished 40^th overall and fifth in the seventh heat in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.38 in the first round.  Twenty-four runners advanced to the quarterfinals with the top three in each head and the next six fastest time.
