LEXINGTON, Ky. – Savannah State University sophomores
Morgan Ellis-Foster and
LaRon James finishes the season in the first round of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Outdoor Track and Field East Regional Thursday.
James finished 27
th in the long jump with a distance of 7.19 meters (23-7.25) and needed to finish in the top 12 to advance, while Ellis-Foster finished 43
rd in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 54.75 to finish seventh in heat three and needed to finish in the top three of his heat or have one of the next six fastest time.
Sophomore
Nigel Brown remains the final Tiger in the East Regional. The first round of the 200-meter dash is scheduled for Friday at 7:55 p.m., while the quarterfinals is scheduled for Saturday at 7:50 p.m. Twenty-four runners advance to the quarterfinals with the top three in each heat and the next six fastest times.
