SAVANNAH, Ga.- The Savannah State University baseball team finished the 2011 season as the Division I leader in stolen bases (159) and stolen bases per game (3.06).
SSU outfielder Dexter Kelley finished 2nd nationally in stolen bases (39) and stolen bases per game (0.75). Second baseman
Cordarian Robertson finished 15th nationally in stolen bases per game (0.55) and 74th in stolen bases (22).
The Tigers' number one ranking in stolen bases was followed by James Madison (155), Alcorn State (134), Connecticut (127) and Kansas State (123).
In stolen bases per game, falling behind the Tigers were James Madison (2.54), Alcorn State (2.35), Rhode Island (2.17) and Alabama State (2.16).
SSU finished the season with a 29-23 record.
