Savannah, Ga. – The Savannah State University volleyball team newcomers continue to show tremendous growth as SSU enters the third week of pre-season drills.
Newcomer
Bryana Gadis has stepped up in leadership role, and was named a starter at the outside hitter position. Head coach Malik Jones feels that Gadis and other newcomers will be crucial to the team's success.
“The newcomers are adjusting to the intensity of our workouts and level of athleticism we play at,” said Coach Jones.
Freshman
Asiha Williams has shown great work ethic as a defensive specialist and is improving her speed and coordination skills.
Kaniesha Hamilton is expected to enter games at the libero position.
The Lady Tigers will continue to get ready for the 2010 season as they tackle rotations and work on fundamental volleyball skills.
