SAVANNAH, Ga.- The Savannah State University football team reported to fall camp on August 5 with their first practice scheduled for August 7 at 8:45 a.m.
Interim head coach Julius Dixon and his staff welcomed 79 players to campus.
The biggest player to report was 380-lb. freshman offensive lineman Shaquan Hicks while the smallest was sophomore wide receiver
Antonio Proctor who stands 5-4 and weighs 154-lbs. Sophomore offensive lineman
Jonathan Clowers was the tallest at 6-6.
Of the new players, 37 were freshmen.
When asked what are his goals during fall camp, Dixon replied “establish consistency.”
The Tigers begin the 2010 season at Georgia Southern on September 4 in Statesboro, GA.
