SAVANNAH, Ga.- Savannah State baseball players Jonathan Ross and
Dexter Kelley will play with the Mohawk Valley Diamond Dawgs of the New York Collegiate Baseball League this summer.
Ross is a junior outfielder/first baseman from Macon, Ga. and graduated from Jones County High School while Kelley is a sophomore outfielder from Atlanta, Ga. and graduated from North Atlanta High School.
This season, Ross (5-11, 190) batted .380, started in 44 games, scored 38 runs, had 60 hits, 12 doubles, one triple, four home runs, 26 runs batted in, stole 13 bases, has a .544 slugging percentage and a .958 fielding percentage.
Kelley (6-2, 205) batted .318, started in all 51 games, scored 46 runs, has 55 hits, five doubles, one triple, nine home runs, 45 runs batted in, 33 steals, a .514 slugging percentage and a .956 fielding percentage.
Located in Little Falls, New York, the Mohawks begin their 2009 season June 5.
