Former SSU Basketball Player To Appear On “Pros Vs. Joes”

SAVANNAH, Ga.- Savannah State graduate and former Tiger basketball player Lazarius Coleman will appear on Spike TV's “Pros vs. Joes”.

The show will air May 11, 2009 at 11:00 p.m.

Coleman along with two other “Joes” will pit their basketball skills against “Pros” Alonzo Mourning, Robert Horry and Antoine Walker.

The show was taped March 6 in Los Angeles, California.

At stake is a $10,000 prize if the Joes beat the Pros. 

A native of Hinesville, Georgia, Coleman, 23, earned his bachelor's degree in computer information systems from SSU in December 2008.

In his three year career, playing for Savannah State, the 6-8 Coleman played in 89 games and averaged 6.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. As a senior during the 2007-08 season, he averaged 8.2 points and 5.9 rebounds a game.
